Hello fellow readers, writers, book lovers, and anyone in between! My name is Hailey Nicole and I have quite the passion for books. I am currently an undergraduate student whose goal in life is to work with books and authors. I’m highly interested in freelance editing, and am actively working towards establishing that.

As I sat on the couch with my best friend one night sipping on a glass of moscato, we talked about the books we were currently reading. While we discussed the books, we talked about the great, the good, the average, the below average, and the downright terrible. This is when I had my lightbulb moment; I should write my own book reviews.

I wanted to use my first post as a way to outline how I will review the books I’ve read, and give the chance to readers who may not like the format I’ll write in to turn away. Everyone has a preference, and I want to respect that. I won’t use a number rating system, as I don’t feel that is a genuine representation of a book. In my opinion, the plot can be spectacular but the character arc’s could be mundane, so how could I give a book a five out of five rating when I wasn’t a fan of all aspects?

My reviews will be strictly my opinion and my opinion only. I will write about what I liked, what I didn’t, what could’ve been better, and I will conclude if I’d recommend it and who I’d recommend it to.
